MARRIAGE: A BLESSING OR A BURDEN?

Marriage is often described in two completely different ways. Some call it one of life's greatest blessings, while others see it as a source of constant stress, disappointment and emotional pain. This raises an important question: Is marriage truly a blessing, or does it eventually become a burden? The honest answer is that marriage is neither automatically a blessing nor automatically a burden. It has the potential to become either, depending on the character, maturity, values and commitment of the people involved. Many people enter marriage expecting happiness to arrive on its own. They believe love alone will solve every problem. Unfortunately, reality often teaches a different lesson. Marriage brings together two individuals with different personalities, habits, expectations, backgrounds and ways of thinking. THE HIDDEN COST OF POLYGAMY: WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN?

Polygamy is one of the most discussed family structures in many societies. While much attention is often given to the rights and responsibilities of husbands and wives, the experiences of children are sometimes overlooked. Yet, children are often the most affected by the decisions made within a family. It is important to approach this conversation with fairness and balance. One of the most common challenges children face in troubled polygamous homes is emotional neglect. When a parent struggles to divide attention fairly among multiple households, some children may feel ignored, unloved or less valued than their siblings. Over time, these feeling...

CRITICIZING ACTIONS AND HATING PEOPLE: ISLAM AND THE VALUE OF HUMAN LIFE

One of the most unfortunate realities of our time is that many people speak about Islam without truly understanding what it teaches. They hear the actions of criminals, extremists, bandits or terrorists and immediately associate those actions with an entire faith practiced by over a billion people. Yet, if many people took time to study Islam sincerely, they would discover that Islam places such a high value on human life that even when a life is taken by mistake, there are serious consequences attached to it. This is a reality that surprises many people. In today's world, some individuals commit crimes and attempt to justify them using religion. Others see those crimes and conclude that Islam promotes violence. But the question that is rarely asked is: What does Islam itself say about taking a life? The Qur'an makes the sanctity of life very clear: "Whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land, it is as if he had slain mankind entirely; and ...
